Good progress is being made towards the completion of the new studio and we are probably only a few weeks away from using it for the first time! It might not be 100% complete then but will be usable. It almost looks complete from outside:
The windows will be covered with blackout blinds but needed to be there so the building has alternative uses in the future.
Work on the studio has been slowed by some consulting work which while good from the financial side, and good for TTFN TV therefore, has severely limited the hours available for construction work. But there is light at the end of the tunnel and the first few items of equipment have been ordered, with lots more to come. Everything that goes into the new studio will be covered in episodes of StudioTech!
We have four cameras on order (Canon HF G10s) which should have been here weeks ago but the problems in Japan are causing problems with deliveries of Canon equipment. Interestingly Sony and Panasonic seem unaffected with new stock arriving regularly in the UK. The annoying part is that Canon are not being open about what the problems are.
The lighting continues to be the biggest challenge. If you happen to design studio lighting do get in touch.
