Like many projects this one has taken longer than expected. There are three parts to TTFN – Video podcasting, Education and Consultancy. We were offered a large consulting contract in April and that slowed down work on the studio. But the good news is that it is funding a lot of equipment purchases. We are now able to buy many items on our wish list much earlier than expected.
The end of the build is in sight and so far I have done 99% of the work myself, with some help from friends (thank you Peter, Alan, Steven and Lloyd) but this weekend I am employing someone to do the plastering. This is one skill that I don’t have. Once plastered and painted we will start installing the equipment, in around 10 days.
Have already started playing with the lighting grid, even though it will have to come down for the plasterer to do his work this weekend.
Walking out to the studio last night at dusk it really looked good, no longer under construction but starting to become a real building. Might sound strange but after three and a half months of work it is great to see it ‘alive’.
