While at IBC I was lucky enough to be taken around several stands by a former cameraman who clearly knew his stuff. As we walked past various cameras he would stop and look at what I thought was a good picture and then tweak some menu settings and suddenly the picture was even better! On this tour we spent quite some time on the Panasonic stand and given I have bought Canon cameras for a long time, including 4 this year, was not somewhere I would normally have visited!
If you have watched episodes of StudioTech Live! you will know I was pretty impressed with the new Panasonic cameras, especially the AG-AC160. Comparing the price to the Canon models and what you get plus the great picture quality I was hooked. The first delivery hit the UK last week and we managed to buy one from this first batch.
This is the first of a couple of videos we shot on the day we opened the box. More to follow as we learn more about this exciting camera.
